If you are like most people, your plumbing is not something you necessarily think about every day. Sure, you flush the toilets, use the sink, take a shower or bath, and get water from the fridge, but you do not usually think about the plumbing until there is a problem. Check out the article below for some of the most common plumbing problems to watch out for in your home or business.

This is probably the easiest of the plumbing problems

  • Dripping Faucet. This is probably the easiest of the plumbing problems to spot because, unlike a broken pipe, you can see and access the faucet. A dripping faucet is often caused by a worn-out washer, which can easily be replaced.
  • Leaky Water Heater. A leaky water heater is another common plumbing problem. The leaking can be caused by old age or from a buildup of sediment in the bottom of the water heater. If it is old age, your water heater may need to be replaced. If it is a buildup of sediment, try flushing your water heater to solve the problem.
  • Running Toilet. One of the most common plumbing problems is a running toilet. Everyone has done the “shake the flusher” trick. If that does not work, you make have a more serious issue going on with the seal of the flapper inside of the toilet tank.
  • Clogged Drain. Clogged drains can be annoying; no one wants their bathroom sink to take 10 minutes to drain. A common cause of clogged drains is hair and other debris.
