Water Heater RepairYour water heater is an important part of your plumbing system and is responsible for providing hot water for your warm showers, washing machine, dishwasher and anywhere else that uses warm water in the house. When it breaks down, you’ll definitely notice and want a water heater repair right away.

When your plumber comes for a water heater repair, they will check that the most basic components of your water heater are functioning properly before they move onto the bigger problems. If you haven’t already done so, your plumber will likely check to see that the pilot light is lit and the circuit breaker hasn’t been tripped. If none of these easy fixes apply to you, they’ll have to investigate a little further.

Often the first step in water heater repair is to drain and flush the tank. Over time, sediment builds up in the tank and can lead to problems like the water smelling bad, a small amount of water in the tank, and your tank making noises. It’s recommended that you flush your tank every year or so

Another common problem with water heaters is the heating element going out, leaving you with no hot water. This is a relatively simple repair that won’t take up much time. Your plumber will simply replace your heating element, and your water temperature should be back to normal.
